The Summer House at Knockankelly Farm has off road cycle routes running right past the door. National Cycle Route number 73 also runs from Brodick to Lochranza and then onwards to Kintyre.
The Summer House
The Summer House is a renovated traditional Scottish farm cottage which has been updated to retain all the traditional charm of the cottage, together with the benefits of central heating and double glazing, to keep you warm whenever you come to stay.
The cottage is fully equipped for up to 5 people staying in three bedrooms, a double, a twin and a small single. The cottage is completely non-smoking for your comfort and enjoyment.
There is a small garden with a patio area for you to relax and enjoy a quiet drink, and plenty of parking at the farm for visitors cars or motorbikes.
We can provide secure storage and cleaning facilities for cycles (and indeed motorbikes) and we can help with cycle routes both on and off road in the immediate area, as well as throughout the Island. We can also help out if you need to borrow tools to carry out any running repairs to keep you out on the trails.
We can also dry wet clothing and footwear for you, should the un-thinkable happen and it rains!
We are situated above and just outside Whiting Bay looking out towards Holy Isle and the Ayrshire coast with off road cycle routes right on the doorstep, with access to miles of mountain biking on forest roads and more technical trails through forestry right from the farm.
Short Breaks are also available for up to 3 nights for 2 or 3 people outside the peak summer season.
