Merrybent Hill is a luxury B&B situated in the Forest of Bowland near Slaidburn and is on one of the most popular routes for Lands End to John o'Groats cyclists.
Perfectly situated for visiting the Forest of Bowland Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, the Yorkshire Dales National Park, and the Lake District National Park, Merrybent Hill is located near to the quaint village of Slaidburn. The house is situated directly the Lancashire Cycleway (routes 90 and 91) Lancashire Cycleway and near to the official start of this route at Whalley. We are also close to the excellent mountain biking opportunities at Gisburn Forest Hub where there are some excellent MTB routes. There are many other cycling routes in Lancashire and North Yorkshire including the wonderful Way of the Roses.
We are only half an hour's drive from the Yorkshire 3 Peaks of Ingleborough, Penyghent and Whernside, and a mere 45 minutes drive from Kendal, gateway to the Lake District.
Our accommodation offers a stunning characterful bedroom with super-king bed, a seating area, and a luxurious contemporary bathroom with large bath and separate rain shower. We also have a double room with private bathroom (please note this is downstairs from the bedroom). We have secure cycle storage and a hose to wash bikes down. We are on site 24 hours a day for any assistance guests may require.
At breakfast time enjoy a fantastic selection of fresh fruit, cereals, danish pastries, yoghurts and juices, followed by a hot breakfast with lots of choices, whilst sitting in front of the log burning stove and enjoying the amazing view to the South.
