Stay in a home-built wooden cabin that sleeps 5, in an ensuite flat which sleeps a couple in a king sized bed, or indeed camp ( there is about an acre of level ground). Use our workshop for repairs.
Brooksby Station House
The cabin is home built with reclaimed timber, and is in demand throughout the year now. We have even had two couples spend their wedding night in it. It has a double bed with bunk above, and two other single beds. It suits families or groups of people who are pretty friendly. It has a glorious vine growing right over the verandah at the front ( which has a wooden porch swing in it, again home made). Basic cooking facilities ( microwave, fridge, toaster, slow cooker, kettle. The whole cabin can be booked for £40 per night, which includes bedding. There is a toilet and shower room just outside.
The flat is at the end of our Grade 2 Listed Victorian Railway Station has an ensuite shower and toilet, again basic cooking facilities.
We are situated deep in the countryside, about a mile from Route 48, which passes the Blue Bell pub in Hoby just up the road from here. The river Wreake runs by the garden, and you are welcome to have a paddle in one of our canoes during your stay. The flat costs £40 per night, which includes bedding
Camping is also available. We have about an acre of nice level ground, some under trees, the rest nice and open, and all near the River Wreake. There is a spot for a camp fire, and since we have no neighbours you are welcome to have a fire and a sing song. Camping here costs £5 per night which includes use of a hot shower.
The river has kingfishers and otters, and we are situated on a lovely stretch of it.
We have a large workshop which you are welcome to use to do any running repairs to your bike.
