Derwent House provides an ideal place for groups of up to 12. Self-catering accommodation in a grade two listed Georgian town house in the heart of Matlock, Derbyshire. Sleeping up to 12 guests in six bedrooms, four en-suite plus a family bathroom with large roll-top bath, large kitchen, dining room and two reception rooms.
We offer a home from home experience for family holidays, reunions and special celebrations. The house has many historic features combined with modern amenities. Ideally located in Matlock town centre, beside the stunning Hall Leys park, and close to restaurants, pubs/bars, independent retailers and shops are all within walking distance from our front door.
The house is well suited to visitors of varied ages and is ideal for a special celebration, family gathering or reunion. The house has two reception rooms and an excellently equipped kitchen. Many of our guests use the house for a special occasion and it is well equipped for this.
We are situated on the edge of the Peak District National Park, close to many historic houses such as Haddon Hall and Chatsworth House. Other attractions include The Heights of Abraham, Crich Tramway Museum, Alton Towers and of course the stunning scenery of the Peak District National Park.
