The Crown is a Grade II listed building that has been transformed into a comfortable Bed and Breakfast with 3 rooms and a Restaurant with many original features still in place. Inglenook fire places, flagstone floors and carvings in wooden beams set in an historic atmosphere for you to take lodgings or dine.The Corvedale Restaurant, located on the first floor with its magnificent open fireplace, was the local courtroom in the 17th Century, sometimes presided by the infamous Judge Jefferies. Now it hosts a warm and friendly atmosphere to dine in on a Friday and Saturday evening and a Sunday lunchtime. The Crown's Bay Restaurant and downstairs bar areas are also a perfect place to dine, with its large windows allowing you to enjoy the bright summer evenings to the full.

Situated between Wenlock Edge and the Clee Hills, in the Vale of the River Corve, the Crown's history dates back into Tudor times when it was formed into one of the Shropshire Hundred Houses. The Crown was first licensed in 1790 and is still a central meeting point in the Shropshire countryside.2 AA Rosettes for food, 4 star AA Inn classification, listings in the Good Food Guide and numerous other awards.We have a selection of menus to appeal to all from the A la Carte menu to the bar menu. We also have a weekly 'Steak night 'menu and our 'Pie Nights' are very popular- so we can cater to all needs. We are also a 'Fodmap' aware establishment and we believe every guest deserves to enjoy freshly made food served in abundance. Set in an "area of outstanding natural beauty", located within easy traveling distance of many interesting towns including the small historic town of Much Wenlock (the birthplace of the modern Olympic Games), Craven Arms ideally positioned for cycling and the bustling market towns of Ludlow, Bridgnorth and Shrewsbury. The modern town of Telford offers good shopping facilities. The Crown makes a perfect base to stop whilst enjoying sights such as the Ironbridge Gorge, Stokesay Castle, Ludlow Castle or the Severn Valley Railway.
