Set in tranquil surroundings, this National Trust owned cottage is a cosy rural retreat with great countryside for walking and cycling holidays or weekend activity breaks. For a day trip, visit Birdworld at Holt Pound in Farnham, Haslemere Education Museum or the Rural Life Centre at Tilford, all nearby and great for a family day out.
Need To Know
Open to families and individuals during the Easter and summer holidays, the hostel is only open to pre-booked groups (Escape to) outside these dates. Maps and satnavs may be incorrect since the opening of the A3 tunnel. The hostel is self-catering only but you’ll find plenty of cafés, restaurants and shops in nearby Hindhead, Grayshott or Haslemere.
Don't miss the view over the Devil’s Punch Bowl from the National Trust café. Perhaps you’ll see the mist lying in the bowl flowing over the rim as if it were boiling over - how ‘Punch Bowl’ gets its name.
