The proprietors, Paul & Heidi, are keen cyclists and Volunteer Rangers in the World Heritage Site so they have a lot of local knowledge to help you make the most of your stay.
NCN 492 goes past the National Mining Museum of Wales - Big Pit (20 mins on foot) - and in part runs parallel to Blaenavon Heritage Railway and through the Garn Lakes Nature Reserve (30 mins walk). Other local attractions within a 20 minute walk include Blaenavon Ironworks, World Heritage Information Centre and Rhymney Brewery Visitor Centre.
Take a break from cycling and explore the World Heritage landscape on one of several circular waymarked routes, including the Iron Mountain Trail.
There are several pubs, restaurants and take-aways within walking distance of the bed and breakfast. The dining room can be made available for guests wishing to bring back take-aways.
