Scottish Hostels join Beds for Cyclists

Twenty nine hostels across Scotland are on the map for cyclists. The SYHA (Scottish Youth Hostel Association), the biggest network of Youth Hostels in Scotland, can now be found on Beds for Cyclists.

The hostels provide great value accommodation all across Scotland and provide the essential facilities for cyclists. Secure bike lock ups, big breakfasts, clothes washing and dry rooms are available in most of the hostels which often provide the cheapest overnight stay without putting your tent up. They are ideal for big groups with plenty of space and many now offer private rooms if you prefer a little privacy.

Sam Howard – Beds for Cyclists Marketing Director said “These hostels are a really valuable addition to Beds for Cyclists because it’s one of the best places to ride in the UK. With world class mountain bike trail centres, big MTB races, miles of quiet roads to explore and thousands of annual Lands End to John O’Groats riders, it’s fantastic to have a comprehensive network of well-equipped and affordable hostels for those cyclists.”

Newton Stewart Minnigaff Youth Hostel makes an ideal base for the 7 Staines mountain bike trail centres, Innerleithen and Glentress, a mountain biking centre which attracts over 250,000 budding mountain bikers ever year.  Many other of the SYHA hostels are ideally placed close to spectacular long distance Sustrans routes on the National Cycle Network.

Whether tearing down mountains or slowly pedalling and taking in the magnificent Scottish landscape, SYHA hostels will provide a comfy well earned bed at a great price.
