The North Sea Cycle Route is a 6000 km loop around the North Sea taking in the England, Scotland, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Germany, the Netherlands and Beligum. It's the world's longest international signed cycle route.

Within the UK, the route follows National Cycle Route 1 from Harwich up to the Shetlands Islands via John O'Groats. Route 1 starts or ends in Dover, the port town that welcomes many overseas cyclists to the UK.
